Can you tell us a little about your background and how you got involved in the world of technology services and communications?
I began my career billing communications services back in 1999 as a consultant. Various CLECs around the country needed help reconciling their costs with revenue to reduce leakage. My team was tasked with identifying lost revenue and manually billing the missing MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue). I’ve worked within almost a dozen different Billing/OSS systems throughout the years.

How has using CostGuard benefited you and your company?
CostGuard is the main tool I use on a daily basis to do my job. We rely on CostGuard workflows to direct our order processing from start to finish. This helps keep our business practices consistent and well documented. The most important functions to me are the basics such as rating, taxing and of course billing which generates the cash flow to keep business running smoothly.

What does a typical day in your life look like? How do you keep yourself productive?
There is no shortage of things to do on a daily basis and prioritization is key. With multiple projects and initiatives in progress at any given time, I find myself jumping from one task to another constantly. Sticky notes and the Outlook calendar are my best friends.

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?
I’ve been told that I look like the comedian/actor Jamie Kennedy. He seems crazy enough to play the part.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.
I like to think that my life has run somewhat parallel to the career path of the Beastie Boys. I used to fight for my right to party! Now I lean toward fighting for causes and helping others by volunteering and fundraising. I have been growing my hair out for the past year and a half so that I can cut and donate it to the organization Children with Hair Loss.
