Revenue Analyst/Accountant

The Role:

This position will play a significant role in coordinating and managing the monthly invoice process and monthly closing cycle. This individual will interact with all members of the finance staff as well as across Company functions to ensure the accurate and timely flow of information. This position will be responsible for all components of invoicing, perform financial analysis of revenues, identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement. The revenue analyst should have strong skills in SQL and Excel. Acute attention to detail and excellent communications skills are essential.

What Would You Really Do At IDI:

  • Coordinate and participate in the monthly close cycle; working in a team environment to ensure timely and accurate information flow to support the closing schedule; proper coordination of multiple priorities; including the posting of recurring and non-recurring journal entries.
  • Gather and organize large datasets from various sources to allow for the processing of monthly invoices. Verify data for accuracy.
  • Process customer payments and maintain prompt collections.
  • Prepare revenue analytical reports for leadership team with appropriate variance analysis. Track revenue against budget / forecasts.
  • Manage the Company’s project management and time reporting system (Bill Quick Core), including setup of projects.
  • Manage document storage of customer contracts and customer specific projects.
  • Research and update sales tax position for all IDI services over multiple jurisdictions. Prepare monthly sales tax returns.
  • Perform additional related responsibilities as requested.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business and/or equivalent experience required.
  • Excellent data skills utilizing advanced Excel, use of Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power BI.
  • Business acumen and financial understanding.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (written/oral) to explain data.
  • Detail oriented and organized.

Working Conditions:

Hybrid office environment based out of our Victor, NY office.

As required by certain states and localities, we include a reasonable estimate of starting compensation in our postings. Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. The anticipated starting salary for this role is $70,000 – $75,000. Salary is just one component of our total compensation package.
