(September 13, 2016) — IDI Billing Solutions, a global provider of cloud-based Billing and Order Management solutions for Communication Service Providers, announced today it was awarded a long-term contract with First Communications leveraging its CostGuard® cloud architected billing, workflow, tax and OSS service.
First Communications, a leading technology solutions provider offering data networking, voice, and managed services throughout the Midwest, selected IDI Billing Solutions after a lengthy due diligence process and TCO analysis. Founded in 1998, First Communications network has grown to include more than 600 on-net wire centers and supports over 35,000 customers. “We had been talking with IDI for many years about the possibility of changing out our legacy billing system,” said Margi Shaw, President of First Communications. “Other priorities always prevented the switch, until this year when First Communications acquired Comcast’s CIMCO unit.” Comcast had upgraded to IDI’s CostGuard cloud-service in 2012 after their purchase of CIMCO in 2011. “This provided First Communications the unique opportunity to see IDI Billing Solutions in action.
